Introduction to wood machining


Whether  you are a woodworking hobbyist looking at moving on from hand and power tools or a carpenter looking to start machining your own timber, look no further than the Wood machining course to give you the knowledge to confidently purchase the right machines to suit you and start preparing your own timber.

This is a two day course starting at 9am and ending at 5pm. Lunch is provided.

Day one will begin with a short health and safety lecture followed by a tour of our working joinery which will incorporate introductions to each of the machines. These machines vary from smaller, introductory level machines to industrial level machinery. Day two will start off by teaching the Technics of wood machining, starting with timber picking and preparation and moving onto moulding and jointing of timber. Later on in the day we will be cover tooling and blade changing.

All of our courses are run from a working joinery so that you can see the evolution of the garage workshop into the commercial workshop.

Our team will be with you throughout the day and will happily answer any of your questions.

Classes are at a maximum of 4 giving you a more a personalized experience.
